The College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick is the regulatory body for Counselling Therapists in New Brunswick. Our primary role is to\u00a0protect the public<\/b>\u00a0by ensuring that counselling therapy services are safe, ethical, and provided by qualified professionals.<\/p>\n

Established under provincial legislation, the College governs and regulates the practice of counselling therapy in the public interest.<\/p>\n

      Meredith Henry is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) through CCTNB and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Meredith has been working as a counselling therapist since 2005 in the public education system, the post-secondary education system, and currently in private practice. Meredith has served as the NB Anglophone Director on the Board of Directors of CCPA for 4 years, the chair of the Minister’s Mental Health Services Advisory Committee for 6 years, on the discipline committee for the College of Psychologist of NB, and as a executive member or board member on many other boards through the years. She supervises masters student interns as well as LCT-Cs to help develop the next generation of counselling therapists. Meredith is passionate about our profession, mental health advocacy, and social justice issues and looks forward to bringing her experience and passion to our College.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Jody Kennedy, LCT-C, is a newer therapist bringing nearly 30 years of healthcare experience as an ICU nurse and cardiovascular perfusionist to this work. She understands the pressures healthcare professionals face and the challenges of living with acute, chronic, or critical illness\u2014having walked that path herself.<\/p>\n

      Jody\u2019s approach is holistic, client-centered, and integrative. She meets people as whole beings\u2014body, mind, and spirit\u2014and draws from ACT, CBT, Existential Therapy, psychodynamic theory, somatic therapy, and mindfulness. Therapy is a partnership: clients steer the boat, and she helps navigate.<\/p>\n

      She has a special interest in trauma, helping clients process painful experiences, understand how trauma impacts the body and mind, and move toward healing and resilience. She also works with teens (14+) through seniors on anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, and supporting healthcare professionals and those navigating health challenges. Lastly, Jody also has limited appointments for couples counselling.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      At the heart of her practice, Jody believes every client is the author of their own story. Therapy is a safe, collaborative space to explore, grow, and write the next chapter of life with intention, strength, and hope.<\/p>\n

      A Licensed Counselling Therapist with CCTNB and the founder and Clinical Director of East Coast Flourish Counselling & Consultation Inc.<\/em>, a New Brunswick\u2013based practice dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and communities. Since establishing the practice in 2017, Ann has combined her background in counselling, volunteer exprience with Crossroads\/JADE and MAGMA, along with a 20-year\u00a0career in human resources in various leadership roles to create spaces where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow and truly flourish in life.<\/p>\n

      In addition to her clinical work, Ann is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of counsellors through a structured clinical intern program, helping expand access to quality therapist while strengthening professional standards. She is passionate about advancing and advocating for the counselling profession and is honoured to contribute her experience and collaborative spirit in service of Licensed Counselling Therapists and the broader community.<\/p>\n

      Outside of her professional role, Ann resides in Moncton where she enjoys spending time with her supportive husband, three kids, grandkids, spending time outdoors whenever possible, and relaxing with family adventures, travels and walks with her dog, Lucky.<\/p>\n

      Lesley has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master\u2019s degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate (PsyD) in Psychology. She also has a vested interest in neuropsychology. She has held positions at the school district, community, and university levels, which have contributed to shaping the clinician she is today.<\/p>\n

      Lesley has been a member of the College since 2017 and is an advocate for mental health both personally and professionally. Currently, she works part-time as the Registrar for the College, a position she has held for a number of years. In addition, she has a private practice in the Miramichi area, where she offers counselling services, including EMDR treatment.<\/p>\n

      I have a Bachelors of Arts with a major in English Literature and a minor in Psychology. I am an ardent advocate for mental health, and strive to destigmatize it by creating an open, inviting space for people to express themselves. I love learning new things, and developing new skills. I am passionate about reading and writing, and can often be found nose deep in a fantasy novel.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Karina is a Licensed Counselling Therapist \u2013 Candidate. She is the founder of her own private practice, Saule Wellness (pronounced soul). Karina works with a broad range of clients with many presenting issues but she is most passionate about helping her clients build healthy, positive relationships. She provides both family therapy and couples therapy in addition to working with youth. Prior to choosing to become a mental health professional, Karina had a three-decade career in engineering, entrepreneurship, policy making and systems level change. She is thrilled to be able to use her diverse skill set to meet both the needs of her clients, the public and the membership of the CCTNB. Karina is also a mother of three young adults and she and her husband and dog, Atlas, love the outdoors, time with the kids and travelling the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Sherry is a Licensed Counselling Therapist of NB. She currently sits as an executive board member of the New Brunswick Career Development Association, the Technology and Innovative Solutions chapter of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and part of the board of directors in the CCTNB as of 2020. Sherry brings a variety of perspectives to the field of counselling therapy as a woman, technology entrepreneur, virtual reality researcher, and first-generation immigrant from Hong-Kong.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Carley Parish, was born in South Surrey, British Columbia and moved to New Brunswick in 2001 to attend Law School. Ms. Parish is a proud Hamptonian, having resided here since 2004 with her husband Michel Boudreau. In 2009, her mother Sandy and late father Verle also relocated to beautiful Hampton. She was amongst the first group of French immersion students in British Columbia. Ms. Parish received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 2001, Bachelor of Law from the Universit\u00e9 de Moncton in 2004. She has also began work on her Masters of Law in Civil Law from the Universit\u00e9 de Laval. Ms. Parish has plead at all levels of Court in New Brunswick. In 2004, she became a member of the law firm of Lutz Parish Gerrish. She was named Partner in 2009, and is now the Managing Partner. She has taught at the University of New Brunswick Law School and has taught at the New Brunswick Bar Course.<\/p>\n

      Ms. Parish has received the E. Neil McKelvey Q.C. Pro Bono and Volunteer Service Award in 2019, the Sovereign\u2019s Medal for Volunteers in 2018, the Town of Hampton Small Business Week Award for Community Leadership in 2015, and was inducted into the North American Fastpitch Sports Hall of Fame in 2014. The Sopinka Cup, National Pleading Competition, Best Pleader, 2004, Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales, winning team (of 2) Maritime Competition, 2004. Carley is actively involved in the community of Hampton and surrounding area, supporting opportunities for youth, local businesses, community organizations and the vulnerable populations. She is serving her second term as the President of the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce, served on the Town\u2019s Tourism Committee and is involved in the PALS program, which mentors middle school children to help develop reading skills. Carley was named King’s Counsel in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Originally from New Brunswick, Brittany Rickett is a Licensed Counselling Therapist and the Clinic Director of 3 Rivers Counselling. She brings over a decade of diverse experience in mental health, education, and workplace wellness. Brittany\u2019s career began as an educator with the Anglophone South School District, and she later joined the Integrated Service Delivery Child and Youth Team, offering collaborative care for children, teens, and families. As the director of 3 Rivers Counselling, Brittany leads a dedicated team of therapists, including therapy interns, providing compassionate, trauma-informed care for clients. She also consults with organizations on mental health strategies, fostering resilient, inclusive workplace cultures. Brittany is grateful for the opportunity to serve as a new board member for the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick, bringing her experience in education, mental health, and leadership to support the advancement of the profession across the province.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Janna Hare brings over two decades of corporate experience and six years as an entrepreneur to her work, with a rich history in leadership, governance, and mental health. Her background includes board positions supporting single parents, ICF Atlantic, and Dialogue NB, where she focused on fostering inclusive and supportive communities. Janna is a Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidate (LCT-C) with The College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick and is pursuing her Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) certification.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Educationally, Janna holds a Master\u2019s in Counselling from Athabasca University, a BA (Honours) in Psychology, a B.Ed, and an M.Ed in Adult Education from the University of New Brunswick. She is also a Certified Executive Coach from Royal Roads University. Janna\u2019s expertise spans leadership development, emotional intelligence, and person-centered leadership, complemented by her involvement with the International Coach Federation and Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Her experience, combined with her commitment to ethical, human-centered practices, positions her as a valuable asset to the CCTNB board, where she can contribute insightfully to advancing the mental health profession in New Brunswick.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n
